How to add the “I Am Spotless” pimple patch in your skincare routine

We just uncovered a simple solution for your pimple! You read right, the all NEW “I Am Spotless” pimple patches are here and ready to be a part of your skincare routine.

Not sure where or how these fall into your routine? Well, that’s exactly why we are here!

But first, a little info about our pimple patch and why it’s a snatch! “I Am Spotless” pimple patches are made using advanced hydrocolloid sucking technology and infused with key acne fighting ingredients including Salicylic acid and Centella asiatica (Cica). Adding this product to your routine is a game changer whether you have a two step skincare routine, ten step routine or no skincare routine … (okay, we may have to talk about this… let’s get you a routine, get in touch here (hyperlink) we got you!) , here’s why:

  1. Shrinks pimples and reduces inflammation

Salicylic acid penetrates deep into the skin, unclogging the pore while Cica reduces inflammation.

  1. Prevents pimple picking and popping

The pimple patch acts as a protective barrier preventing you from picking at it – which ultimately leads to reduced scarring and hyperpigmentation.

  1. Absorbs excess oil and gunk from pimple

Advanced gunk sucking hydrocolloid technology absorbs excess oil from the pimple, this is noticeable in hours!

So you now know why you need this product, but how does it work? And how does it fit into your routine? Here’s a quick pimple patch usage and routine check!

First and foremost, you must have a pimple, and not just any pimple it needs to be a ripened, active, ready to burst kind of pimple, here’s a reference:

Once you have a ripened, active pimple, here’s how a pimple patch falls into your routine:

  1. Cleanse

Cleanse your face for about 60 seconds with your preferred cleanser, for acne prone skin we love our curated by Uncover AC saver foam cleanser, infused with salicylic acid, it’s gentle enough for daily usage and doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry and stretched- shop here.

Pat dry your skin with a clean towel and follow with step no.2 below!

  1. Apply pimple patch on active, ripened white pimple

Stick it, don’t pick it! Here’s how to use the pimple patch:

  1. Tear between the perforated line to peel of a patch (available in 2 sizes 10mm x 9 + 12mm x 9)
  2. Cover the active pimple with a patch and gently press down
  3. Let the healing and sucking begin

     3. Toner

When using a toner, avoid the edges of the pimple patch to prevent the product seeping through and dab instead of spreading so that the patch doesn’t peel off.

     4. Treatment serum

Again, avoid edges of pimple patch and dab product instead of spreading. For acne prone skin we suggest using our Niacinamide 10 brightening ampoule, which reduces sebum production, blemishes and hyperpigmentation. Shop now.

       5. Moisturiser

Keep skin supple and hydrated with a non-comedogenic (does not block pores) moisturiser. Again, avoid edges of the pimple patch and dab product around the pimple patch instead of spreading with fingers to avoid the pimple patch coming off.

      6. SPF 30+ for the AM

Finish off your morning routine with sunscreen 30+ to protect your skin from harmful UV rays which accelerate skin ageing and hyperpigmentation.

      7. Apply your make-up

You can go ahead with your normal routine and apply make up over and around the pimple patch, without it getting noticed! Again, take caution to avoid products seeping into the patch and causing it to peel off.

Remove your pimple patch once it turns completely opaque or becomes unsticky and replace with a new pimple patch if needed – you have another 17 or so to go 😉 in one pack, in two sizes!
